The three women protestors – aged 25, 39 and 40 – who were arrested yesterday in Skouries have been charged with resistance to authority, sedition and attempt to release a detainee. They faced the prosecutor today and their trial has been set for Wednesday, May 15 2013.
One of the arrested women was wounded and asked to be taken to hospital but her request was denied. Another woman, who was not arrested, had to wear a surgical collar.
At clashes between residents of Halkidiki and the riot police that took place yesterday at a different location of mount Kakavos, seven policemen suffered minor injuries (scratches) while one other reportedly has buckshot wounds from an unidentified type of weapon (?). Protestors categorically deny that any of them was armed.
